Interesting things about me!

As an update for Piedmont friends and those I haven’t kept in touch with recently, here are a few things about me:

I’ve been planning to move out of westwood for quite a while, and it should finally happen at least by October. Moving with me will be several friends, with whom I was living prior to my current place on Kelton. We’ll be moving to one of the neighborhoods to the east of Hollywood and west of East LA, which include Koreatown, Silverlake, Echo Park, and Downtown. It will likely be Koreatown, which is by far the cheapest of the four areas. This move would put me in close proximity to museums and art galleries, at which I will likely be working prior to finishing applications and picking a school/program for graduate study. It’s also a lot cheaper over there.

About a month ago my maternal grandfather died. Among other things, he was noteworthy for being my middle-namesake. His name: Joseph Philip Fairbanks III, my name: Jacob Joseph Fairbanks Morrow. Also, I used his name on my first fake ID.

Here’s a picture of him with his brother (known as “Uncle Bunny”) and sister, “Aunt Therese”, who is a cloistered nun. Cloistered = prays all day, never leaves the church. My grandfather is the cool guy in the center:

Where I live, and with whom.

Since the first of July, I have been subletting a room in apartment 306 of “Kelton Arms” in North Westwood Village area of LA. My room is at the top of the next row of rooms to the left of the edge of this picture:

Also living in apartment 306 are Nick (Engineer from San Jose) and Aaron (professional poker player from somewhere, Texas). Nick and I are roommates, and Aaron has his own room, funded easily by his online poker winnings.

Nick is an extremely obscure internet celebrity, starring in a video with over 4 thousand visits. I had nothing to do with it. Also about Nick: he’ll be quitting his job and starting graduate school here in a little over a month, is single and looking (if that video caught anyone’s interest), and he prefers vodka tonic to gin and tonic, which I think is total bullshit.

Aaron I know almost nothing about. At first I thought he was a WoW guy because of the amount of time he spent in his room, but it turns out he’s getting paid in there. Other than that, I know he went to school at UT Austin, was in a fraternity, has braces, drives a toyota corolla, enjoys In ‘N Out Burger, Enzo’s Pizza, and he just graduated from bar tending school.
